“I received a phone call
this morning from a woman who saw 'Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolour Dreamcoat'. She
wanted to pass along her compliments
on a great show. She thought it was
an excellent performance filled with
great talent. She was also very touched
by the fact the show included a special
child and she was impressed by his
talent. She said it brought tears to her
eyes. She said she will definitely be back
and just wanted to pass along her
congratulations on a fantastic show!
This e-mail really doesn't do her
compliments justice. She was gushing!
- Leah Terry, PR Eastern Front Theatre

"'The Secret Garden' was youre most
beautiful show to date. I think it was
sung better than the original
Broadway version.. really. I'd like to hear
a recorded version of your show. It
was awe inspiring!"
-Theatre Ptron of 'The Secret Garden', who saw the show on Broadway.

SAINTS ALIVE! is a non-profit youth theatre group based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Aiming to create a community atmosphere through musical theatre, SAINTS ALIVE! brings together actors, producers, musicians and others involved with the organization from the surrounding community. SAINTS ALIVE! has produced numerous successful musicals, working with a group of youth who have diverse creative and spiritual talents. With a goal of making enough financial gains to pay off the costs of their upcoming production, all excess funds are donated to various children's charities.

SAINTS ALIVE! was founded by creative director Diane Regan in 2003. In 2006, SAINTS ALIVE! teamed up with Eastern Front Theatre, providing a mentoring program to aspiring actors and musicians. That same year, SAINTS ALIVE! produced and performed the critically acclaimed play Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Continuing to create brilliant musical theatre, in 2007 SAINTS ALIVE! produced their most challenging show to date, The Secret Garden. With its music requiring performers to work outside of their comfort zones, this haunting production was a success beyond anyone's imagination. It continued to be an amazing year as SAINTS ALIVE! created their musical revue, Beautiful City. The show was performed at the 17th Atlantic Fringe Festival to raise funds for Seussical, a production based on the work of Dr. Seuss. Fundraising performances took place all over Halifax Regional Municipality, including at the Atlantic Fringe Festival.

Outdoing themselves once again, in 2008, SAINTS ALIVE! was awarded Fringe Hit at the Fringe Festival for their musical revue, Life is a Cabaret. A feast for the senses, the funds from this performance allowed SAINTS ALIVE! to produce their 2009 hit, Into the Woods.

SAINTS ALIVE! brings in talent from across HRM and is passionate about giving every individual the opportunity to have a voice. SAINTS ALIVE! strives to aid youth not only through the arts, but through the generosity of charitable donations. SAINTS ALIVE! looks forward to continuing to build positive theatrical and spiritual experiences for performers, spectators and community members alike.
