Performance Opportunity in the Atlantic Fringe Festival, Sept. 3-13, ‘09

SAINTS ALIVE! Theatre will be producing a showcase of musical theatre called:

SAINTS ALIVE SINGS! Past, Present and Future.

Directed/Produced by Diane Regan, Co-produced by Laura Thornton, Choreographed by Lauren Amyotte

Requirements for participation:

1. For the "PAST SHOWCASE" we are interested in performers who are 16 years old or older. Choose a song from one of our past shows: GODSPELL, HAIR, JOSEPH and the AMAZING TECHNICOLORED DREAMCOAT, THE SECRET GARDEN, SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL or INTO THE WOODS. 2. Or for the "FUTURE SHOWCASE" pick a song from ANY musical that we haven't performed yet. For this showcase we are interested in performers between the ages of 10-15 years old.
3. The "PRESENT SHOWCASE" has already been cast as it will be performed by members of SAINTS ALIVE!'s original musical workshop cast of BEAUTIFUL CITY
4. You will be asked to perform your chosen song on Thurs. August 20th at the Lutheran Church of our Savior, 255 Portland St. Dartmouth, between 6-9pm. This "audition" will be used to place you as a solo, duet, trio or chorus in the show.
5. You need to be available for the rehearsals for your "particular" (Past or Future) showcase as well as rehearsals for "ALL" showcases (see tentative rehearsal schedule below). Rehearsals take place at "Paul's Hall", 12286 Peggy's Cove Rd.(Hwy #333) in Tantallon.
   • Fri Aug. 21st 1-5 (Past Showcase) ages 16 & up
   • Sat. Aug. 22nd 1-5 (Past Showcase) Ages 16 & up
   • Sun. Aug. 23rd 1-5(Past Showcase) Ages 16 & up
   • Mon. Aug. 24th 1-5 (Future Showcase) Ages 10 - 15
   • Tues. Aug. 25th 1-5(Future Showcase) Ages 10-15
   • Wed. Aug. 26th 1-5 (Future Showcase) Ages 10-15
   • Sat. Aug. 29th 1-5 (All Showcases) Entire Cast
   • Sun. Aug. 30th 1-5 (All Showcases) Entire Cast
   • Mon. Aug. 31st 1-7 (All Showcases) Entire Cast
   • Tues. Sep. 1st 1-7(All Showcases) Entire Cast
   • Wed. Sep 2nd 12-7 (All Showcases) Entire Cast
   • Wed, Sep. 2nd Benefit Show 8pm at Paul's Hall
6. Be available for all of our performances (approx.6- 8 shows) at the Fringe Festival which runs September 3-13 in Halifax.
7. There will be a small registration fee of $40.00 to help cover administration costs.
